The Comic Book SyndiCon is a one-day celebration of comic book culture (a comic book convention) presented by The Comic Book Syndicate and St. Clair College.

2017 marks our third annual convention and the organizers are pleased to be able to bring such extraordinary talent to our region.

In March of 2015 a gap in Windsor’s convention world was left open when an already established promoter decided to end his partnership with St. Clair College. Mike and Jolie of The Comic Book Syndicate (a television show and web series about comic books) were approached by the College to fill that gap. Thus, the Comic Book Syndi’CON’ was born.

On August 22, 2015 the very first annual Comic Book SyndiCon was held in conjunction with St. Clair College Alumni Associaton’s Family Fun Day. The festivities, which are traditionally scattered across the front lawn of the college, now featured a mini-convention, which was held inside the Old gymnasium on Main Campus. The convention featured a mix of artists and vendors from the Windsor/Essex Region, as well as from around Ontario and Michigan. A generous donation from the Alumni Association allowed us to offer $500 in cash prizes to winners of our highly anticipated Cosplay competition.

On February 14th, 2016 the second annual Comic Book SyndiCon was held in continued partnership with St. Clair College. In need of extra space for more vendors, more artists, and expanded programming the SyndiCon was moved and held in its new home, the luxurious Skyline Ballroom at St. Clair Centre for the Arts in Downtown Windsor, Ontario. This Syndicon continued a tradition of ‘comics first’, while expanding to include creators in the realm of web comics and animation as well educators in the arts. Truly the highlight of the 2016 show was an appearance by seminal DC Comics artist, Yanick Paquette.
